bitwerk Player
Plug in a drive, a USB stick or a network share and it plays: library and player in one box, run from your phone or its touch display.
Every bitwerk device runs the same software, and the software runs today on standard hardware. It keeps your music library on your own drives, plays it bit-perfect in every room and shows exactly what reaches each DAC: Bit-Perfect when the samples are the ones in the file, DSP when anything is processed, with the reason. Everyone in the building runs it from a phone, a touch display or a Stream Deck. The bitwerk software →
We keep the range small on purpose: a few devices for each kind of place, built on one system, so every device works with every other.
How to read the status: Prototype running works every day on test hardware and moves into its own housing next. Work in progress is being built. Concept is planned: the drawing shows the idea, not the final product. Made to order you can order today. Devices in development can be reserved without obligation.
A system for one home that starts with one box and needs no server.
Plug in a drive, a USB stick or a network share and it plays: library and player in one box, run from your phone or its touch display.
Analog, digital, speaker and network cables in the length, colour and connectors you choose, bundled and labelled the way your rack needs them.
For bars, cafés, clubs, shops, listening rooms and large collections, and for homes that want the full system. Start with a Base and one Streamer; each further Streamer is sold on its own and adds a room or a zone whenever you need it.
The heart of the system: one quiet rack unit that holds your music library on your own drives in hot-swap bays and runs every room, player and display.
A reference network streamer per room: bit-perfect, native DSD, balanced XLR and RCA outputs.
A battery-powered 7” touch display with a big knob: playlists, search and cue lists for the bar or the event desk.
Looms for the rack, speaker cables per zone and labelled ends, so every cable says where it goes.
For control rooms, producers’ desks, clubs and live sound, on AES67, the open standard for audio over a network.
Active speakers for studios, clubs and events: an 18” folded bass horn and two tops that also work on their own, built to stand outdoors.
The studio audio interface: preamps you set remotely, reference converters, analog monitor level and the bitwerk player in one rack unit.
The desk console for producers and control rooms: mute and level per channel, speaker selection, routing and a big monitor knob with Mute and Dim.
A headphone and line station per musician or listening position, powered over the network cable.
Four analog lines over one Cat cable, passive and without latency.
Multicores, Cat cables for the snake and looms for the desk, colour-coded by channel.
Choose the cable type, the length, the jacket colour and both connectors, down to extra-flat plugs for tight racks. Bundle several cables into one sleeve and give every end a colour-coded label with your own text. We build each set to order.
Bit-perfect, and it shows
Files reach the DAC byte for byte at their own rate. A badge in every room says when the sound is unaltered and when it is processed, and why.
Hi-res and DSD
FLAC, ALAC, WAV and AIFF up to 384 kHz and 32 bit, DSD up to DSD512, internet radio in lossless FLAC and Spotify when you want it.
Multi-room
Every room its own queue, or several rooms in sync to a fraction of a millisecond. Every change shows at once on every phone, display and controller.
Touch display
A display on the player boots straight to Now playing: cover, format, rooms, search and lyrics, or a far view for across the room.
Studio tools
Monitor controller, A/B with loudness matching, room correction, Stream Deck and OSC faders, webhooks and MQTT.
A library that sorts itself
Drop files in a folder: bitwerk reads the tags, sorts them, finds cover art, measures loudness and flags fake hi-res. USB drives play in place.

bitwerk never generates music, voices, lyrics or images, and may not be used to make them. Its AI features only search, filter and explain the music you own, are off until you switch them on, and your audio never leaves your server. Our stance on AI and artists.
